My Jewellery Story with CEO & Founder, Ayman

I’ll put it into 3 words… I LOVE JEWELLERY! Yes I’m obsessed when it comes to jewellery. It’s just so much more than just a fashion item. We live in a society full of trends that come and go but items like jewellery have always been around! They’ve served as a universal form of adornment for centuries. I thought I’d write up a little something, giving you guys a look into my jewellery story.
The story of my love of all jewellery starts way back in 2004, my grandmother had taken me to get my ears pierced for my pre-birthday photoshoot and mum dressed me up in a cute maroon 3-piece. She styled it up with a dainty gold bracelet that had been handed down to her by her maternal grandmother which she had then handed down to me. My favourite part were the silver pair of jhanjars (anklets that had bells attached to them) and the golden name plate necklace my dad gifted me with the black and gold monochrome beaded bracelet. I still look at the pictures in awe, it’s the most cutest thing!
Mum also use to come back home with a full load of jewellery for me back when I was around 8 years old and I’d often play dress up, well when I say often I mean like literally all the time! Since then, accessorising has been a part of my daily ritual.
My passion for jewellery has evolved over the years, from the candy necklaces I use to buy when dad use to hand us over change to spend at the corner shop to the hundreds of ring sets that I use to obsess over and just keep on stackin’ during primary school. I will skip mascara but never go a day without earrings, because I don’t feel completely dressed without at least one piece of jewellery on.
Let’s talk rings… They’re my favourite accessory. If I could have a huuugeee collection I absolutely would. I’m into growing a fine collection of rings, meaning rings that I can keep forever. I’d rather invest that extra bit of dosh for great quality pieces instead of purchasing that one ring multiple times from a fast fashion chain that keeps on turning my fingers green - yuck. My current everyday rings are my Kaa Ring, a Silver Three-stone Pandora Ring, Ornella Ring and my Yves Ring. I’ve recently been mixing gold and silver pieces and love the look it has been giving off. For anyone looking to start their gold ring collection and would like a great quality ring that is tarnish-free and hypoallergenic I’d definitely recommend our Ornella Band Ring. It matches with literally everything and it’s perfect for stacking!
All of my pieces hold great emotional value. Starting off with the matching gold earrings and pendant that were gifted to me at birth by my lovely relative. The gold and silver striped huggies my dearest great-granny bought me from Saudi Arabia. Oh and then my best friend’s gorgeous mother gifted me my first watch, a delicate silver mesh strap with a two tone dial that brings in a seamless pop of gold, it matches with everything in my wardrobe. I tend to reach out for it like everyday! There are so many of my pieces I could just go on and on about, hehe.
My taste in jewellery continues to evolve but I’m glad my pieces are tarnish-free, that way I can always reach out for them without worrying about whether they’ve become old and rusty.
And that’s a wrap for my first blog post, hope you guys enjoyed reading this just as much as I did creating it. Take care my beautiful Reigners <3
